GFK Wings is a Part 61 flight school operating in partnership with Avflight Grand Forks to provide quality instruction and aircraft rental for the Greater Grand Forks area. Our knowledgeable staff and highly trained flight instructors will help guide you through your training. All in your aircraft or ours.

Our aircraft are available for rental from any properly rated pilot. If you are interested in renting, please stop by our office to pickup a renter packet and schedule a checkout flight with one of our instructors.

PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE
The First Step
A Private Pilot Certificate allows anyone to operate an aircraft with passengers and baggage. Whether you want to fly for leisure or make a career out of flying, this certificate is your first step. Ask one of our instructors about the requirements to get a Private Pilot Certificate.
INSTRUMENT RATING
The Next Step
An Instrument Rating allows a pilot to fly in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) or under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). This greatly opens up the weather conditions you can fly in. This rating will not only increase your aviation resume, but it will make you a significantly safer pilot.
COMMERCIAL PILOT CERTIFICATE
Begin Your Career
A commercial pilot may be compensated for flying. Training for this certificate focuses on a better understanding of aircraft systems and a higher standard of airmanship.

A discovery flight includes 30 mins of ground instruction to answer any questions you may have and a 30 minute flight where you will be at the controls.
